Father and son launch etyres Taunton

By 1st September 2016 No Comments

We are delighted to welcome father-and-son team Ian and Elliott Kerr to our nationwide network as they launch etyres Taunton.

While 19-year-old Elliott is a fully trained mechanic, Ian had decided the time was right to face more of a challenge than his career in Research and Development offered and relished the opportunity to launch a family business.

“The whole etyres set-up appealed to us,” Ian explained. “We could see a van-based business made sense, because there was no need to buy expensive stock and saddle ourselves with the large overheads.

“We also understand how important service is to people in the South West and we want to work with our customers, to help them solve their problems and enjoy the face-to-face interaction that comes from offering a personal service.”

Following a comprehensive training programme, including intense hands-on experience alongside one of our busiest branches, Ian and Elliott have launched etyres Taunton and are marketing their mobile tyre fitting service with help and support from the Head Office team.

They are also planning on running tyre safety awareness events in and around their area, which stretches across to Yeovil and beyond, to boost brand awareness. While Elliott will be mainly visiting customers, fitting tyres and batteries and carrying out puncture repairs, Ian will be responsible for the admin and marketing side of the business.

An etyres franchise offers an exciting opportunity for business partnerships, particularly father-and-son and especially husband-and-wife teams. Many of our successful branches operate in this fashion, forging good relationships with customers who remain loyal to their business once they have discovered the advantages of using a mobile tyre fitting company.
