We are delighted to announce that our Managing Director Tony Bowman, QFP, has been appointed to a key role with the British Franchise Association (bfa).
Bowman was elected to chair the London/South East Forum, which hosts regular meetings to offer franchise owners the chance to join together and take part in topical discussions, strategic thinking and vital networking.
After launching etyres almost 20 years ago, Bowman has successfully developed the business from the UK’s first internet tyre company into an award-winning franchise providing customers with simple online ordering, low pricing and a mobile fitting service.
“I am delighted to have been elected to serve as the Chair of this very lively and engaging Forum,” explained Bowman, who became a bfa Qualified Franchise Professional in 2013, which is formal recognition of his professional knowledge and experience in franchising.
“It will give me an extra opportunity to support the work of the bfa, in particular franchisee membership and encouraging more women into franchising, which are both very important areas,” he added.
The bfa forums are regional meetings which facilitate best practice advice and knowledge-sharing amongst franchisors and advisers to the sector. As highly experienced franchising professionals, forum chairs are elected by each region’s members to occupy a central role in their success.
Hosted in an open, inclusive and engaging format, forums are frequently cited as one of the key benefits of bfa membership by franchisors, with delegates benefiting from the experience of others as their franchise network matures and grows.
