Our latest Franchise Owner is just days away from launching etyres Bishop’s Stortford as he completes his extensive programme and prepares to hit the ground running.
Lukasz Kupisz is looking forward to a more rewarding professional and personal life as he embarks on his exciting new venture to become his own boss and build a thriving business.
After five years working for a leading breakdown service, Lukasz decided it was time for a change in direction. “Initially I wanted to open my own garage, but I was struggling to find the right premises and all the time my friends and my research were telling me that people are very busy these days,” he explained.
“I was also picking up on the message that people are a bit lazy too when it comes to their spare time and they don’t want to go to a garage and that’s when I began considering a mobile business and after Googling ‘mobile tyre fitting’, etyres stood out as a great opportunity for me. It made sense to keep it simple and stick to one specialist area and of course tyres are always going to be a necessity.”
Lukasz recognised that a key factor to consider when choosing a franchise to invest in was a strong online presence, which would help him generate business and reap the rewards of running a successful branch.
“Online ordering is definitely the future,” he said, “but to get a quality national website with high impact and a track record for selling to customers would be impossible for me to achieve and I chose etyres because they already have this covered very well.”
Although initially interested in a London-based franchise, Lukasz considered every aspect of choosing a territory carefully and ultimately decided that the Bishop’s Stortford territory in East Hertfordshire offered a lot more potential from a business and personal point of view.
“It is a nicer area to drive around, and I think that whereas a lot of London drivers don’t use their cars very often, it is the opposite in Bishop’s Stortford because it is a very popular commuter town.”
Although London-based at the moment, Lukasz and his partner are already considering relocating to Bishop’s Stortford in the very near future. “Looking forward I can see this would be a very good area to settle down and bring up children with my partner Monika,” he said.
Lukasz received help from the etyres Head Office teams from day one of his decision to join the mobile tyre fitting company. Support drawing up a business plan and achieving bank funding was quickly followed with an intensive training programme.
Moving forward, like all etyres Franchise Owners, Lukasz will reap the benefits of the efforts of the dedicated marketing team to drive orders to his business via the etyres website, national sales team and network of corporate clients.
Lukasz said: “Knowing all these things are going on allows me to concentrate on building my business up and I am aiming to take on another van and employ a fitter in the future.”
